There is only going to be a single site Academy.

Two becomes one?

TODAY
Furness Academy is set to embark on another round of consultation. This
time to ascertain once and for all whether the academy should be
situated on one site, rather than two.
Firstly Furness Academy Limited has NEVER consulted on any "location issues"!
The decision has already been taken as only Parkview playing fields have been surveyed!
On the surface it might
look like we are back to square one and that the issue should have been
resolved before the academy was even in existence. More disruption is
the last thing the academy needs, especially after settling into a
period of stability since it opened in September.
Mr Lee you and your biased newspaper are not Barrow!
But for academy
chiefs to put their heads above the parapet now shows the perceived
magnitude of the issue. It is far braver to act and go back to the
people than bury their heads in the sand and ignore issues which may
later come home to roost. It seems there are planning and building
constraints restricting being able to develop the north (former
Thorncliffe) site to a standard to match the south (former Parkview)
site.
Does Mr Lee live in La La Land? It would seem so. He is such a sycophant its unreal.
There was only EVER going to be one site until John Hutton personally
intervened to con the people and smooth the path for Ed and Moira. How
dumb does Mr Lee think his readers who stump up £2.70 a week for his
paper really are?
As for the planning constraints false flag argument that is utter bullshit or rank incompetence at work in CCC I can't decide which.
Equal opportunities to learn for all pupils, irrespective
of which site they attend, should surely be the cornerstone of any
educational institution. There will be some big questions to answer.
Not least what will become of the Thorncliffe site if this goes ahead?
No again you lie Mr Lee. Those questions have
already being answered and this "consultation" is just as big a sham as
the first one. But Furness Academy Limited is okay because most parents
won't bat an eyelid.
There
is also a risk that previous conflicts and wounds, fuelled at the time
by a lack of meaningful information from those behind the plans, will
again be opened up.
No shit Sherlock!
It's to be hoped that lessons have been
learned. And that this time the consultation will engage openly with
all those with a stake in raising education standards.
Most
importantly it's to be hoped that ultimately it will reach a decision
which will best serve our children, not just today, but for generations
to come.
That decision died the death when Moira Swann and many other CCC employees
totally ignored the views of over 6,000 Barrovians and drove her
scheme through to comply with Ed Balls wishes.
Ah yes! Equal opportunities! Every child matters! What about some of those younger alfs kids, uprooted from one school and shipped over to tower block for a couple of years. Then uprooted again and moved in their final years of gcse
At least mr.gill will be happy. He is neither comfortable with or effective at leading a whole site. North site lacks direction and has major discipline issues.
It's hard to work out who is the better bullshitter Jonathan Lee or Douglas Blackledge.
I don't believe a word either of them come out with.
Good to see the Evening Mail has got it's finger on the pulse. According to them the public consultations are on January 10 and January 11.

It seems Mr Lee is just as incompetent as Mr. Blackledge. Communication - what communication, Sweet FA
