The Academy has been in fine spirits in the run up to the festive period with the music and drama departments hosting a Christmas fayre for staff and students as well as the wider Community.Students from all years practised hard for the event, which featured traditional carols with a modern twist. The night was very enjoyable and provided a great opportunity for us to show off the Academy's vibrant personality
Christmas also marks the end of the Academy's first full term. It has been a busy period since the opening in September with many successes on the sports field, our first open evenings, and the naming of our new head boys and girls being just some of the highlights so far.
I am looking forward to 2010 and the many more positive opportunities and experiences that the New Year will bring for staff, students and local community but, for now, I hope everyone has a restful break.
