Furness Academy Aims and Ethos
Our overarching aim is to ensure that everyone entering Furness Academy leaves having benefitted from the many positive opportunities and experiences open to all. To achieve this aim we have created a welcoming and inclusive environment with a strong emphasis on promoting the benefits of life-long learning for all. We believe that our dedication to improving the life experiences of the entire Furness Academy community will be evident to anyone who spends some time with us.
Students and Staff at the Academy will notice:
• The Academy is an exciting and proud place
• That they are respected and listened to
• That there are clear and high expectations
Parents and Carers will notice:
• The students are motivated to achieve what is right for them
• The Academy is clear about what it expects
• This Academy is a creative and forward looking place
• That they are fully involved in their children's learning and progress
Visitors to the Academy will notice:
• A happy, pleasant and congenial atmosphere in light and airy buildings
• A sense of connected and co-located services
