Voters expect honesty from politicians about public spending, former cabinet minister John Hutton has said.
While it was very difficult to be precise about figures years ahead people knew things were going to be tight, he said.

I know you are still a busy man and get hundreds if not thousands of

However please do me the courtesy of answering these two questions at
your earliest convenience and please don't pass to Mr McSorley for a
reply as you are my MP not him.

What will happen if the Camden judge decides in favour of the Camden
parents, to the three Barrovian schools under threat of closure?
I would appreciate a response before the weekend as my son has just one
week left at schools and I need to know what school he will be expected
to attend in September.

Forgot to add he obviously cannot count as there will be more children educated outside of this 'once in a lifetime opportunity' if it ever comes into being.

Hutton is another hypocrite.I remember him touting for votes when he first came to Barrow, the leaflet portrayed the "happy family man" but once elected we never saw the "whites" of his family's eyes.At one time you couldn't pick up the evening mail or walk down Dalton Road without seeing his face - it was all self serving promotion and once having secured a nice juicy promotion he became as elusive as the scarlett pimpernel.He doesn't care about the people or the children of this town otherwise he'd have listened to and acted upon their concerns.We're not interested in YOUR opinions about the academy MR Hutton it's about us and our children.It looks like you went to the same school of charm as Dougie Diggler.The sooner you sling your hook the better - but do us all a favour and take Blackledge and his academy with you!
