I have just listened to the Radio 4 programme you and yours and I am spitting feathers that this woman can get away with lying on a public Radio station like BBC Radio 4.
She sounded like she was reading from the exact same book as her boss, who is apparently on sick leave due to the stress. Silly woman.
I and hundreds of Barrovian parents are stressed out by this your scheming Mrs Swann but we don't hide away on the sick we have to work for a living and try and knock some heads together to make people see what you are really up to in our 'own time'

I should respectfully suggest Moria Swann does the only decent thing she can and 'fall on her sword' and retire. I should add in the spirit of smoke and mirrors that has dogged this absolutely abysmal scheme from start to finish some people think she ain't on the sick she is on holiday in Majorca sat by the pool answering e-mails!!

She is a civil servant who is part of the Councils Children's Services Directorate. That's it. Nothing more nothing less. A civil servant.
Well actually there is a bit more she cannot pronounce Furness correctly. She also speaks as though she knows the minds of the silent majority intimately. Clearly she is as deluded as her boss or is she?
Moira Swann seems to be the one who wrote out her script before nipping off on the sick or holiday and it was full of the usual meaningless rubbish which Brenda Wile just dolled out into the microphone.
"There is a tiny minority opposed to this Academy albeit a vociferous one"
"What people did acknowledge was there is a need for real change"
"It's the biggest education investment in the County"
"There was some initial opposition"
The lies roll on and on. The County are now in so deep they can only cover up their initial lies by telling even more lies. The whole sorry lot who haven't already been replaced want replacing. No wonder the county is in such a shambles with officers who are paid to serve the people just lie to them time and time again.
The single BIGGEST education opportunity in town in terms of cash which is the measure Swann/Wile are using is the Furness College rebuild NOT the Academy scheme.
I must be living in a parallel universe as I have yet to hear from a SOUL who thinks that massive change is what's required in our secondary education other than John Hutton MP the full county council and of course the three sponsors and their bandsman.
Most everyone else I hear speak wants to see improvements to the existing system.
And the biggest lie of the lot is that like here boss Brenda Wile has the brass neck to use the apathetic majority as supporters of their schemes. The roll out the mantra
'WELL IF THEY AREN'T AGAINST IT THEY MUST BE FOR IT"
What she is implying at the end of it is that the DCSF is the body which may be blackmailing the county therefore saying it's their fault not ours!
Sorry Brenda but other councils have told the DCSF to 'get stuffed' but not your employers. They just saw 'pound signs' and said 'bring it on'.

I had wondered who the CCC voice was, reading a script with due arrogance.
No mention of Doug - Radio 4 don't like contentious. They recorded the story of my exit from Thorne Grammar, but pulled the plug, probably after Doncaster's solicitors had a word.
Whilst on the BBC, a John Bowness of Radio Cumbria came to Thorne to interview some parents about Trinity/Doug in mid-February. He planned to bring some Barrow parents to meet Thorne parents. Did that happen ? I think at least one parent told him about the affair but I guess he didn't broadcast it.
Helen don't apologise to anyone for the way you oppose the academy.I came to the meeting at the trinity church centre on the 16 June and was most impressed at the calm,articulate and honest way you and the other speakers came across(not vociferous at all).I saw parents who cared deeply for their children and are doing their utmost to support and do their very best for them - well done to you and all the others.Unfortunately I was unable to make the demonstration at the town hall but four members of my family went along in support and I was there in spirit.Keep up the good work you have a lot of support out there.This Brenda Wile woman probably hasn't even heard you speak so don't let her "barbs" bother you.There are more people standing with you than there are with this Brenda.I just want to say on behalf of all the worried parents out there a HUGE THANKYOU; we need people like you.
Brenda Wile should be Brenda Vile. How can they just lie like that and get away with it. They must have a cloning factory at CCC. She sounded just as "inspirational" as our Dougie.
